This was our first work away experience and it was simply awesome! We loved every day here, Doro and Paulus are simply the sweetest people. Their daughters are super cute and it's been an heartwarming experience. The place is awesome and super relaxing, the accommodation is comfy and very pretty (the bed is super comfy as well). We are also two very not vegetarian people but the Cousine was Special, delicious in every way "I really could not believe melanzane could taste this good" -my daughter. We'd love to come back here sometime.

J'ai passé environ quatre semaines chez Dominique. Je l'ai surtout aidé à planter, à désherber, à réparer la clôture, à faire de la terre et à cuisiner. L'organisation du temps était très libre et j'ai beaucoup appris de Dominique. Bien qu'il ait souvent plu, j'ai pu explorer beaucoup de choses dans la région et Dominique m'a également montré et recommandé des choses dans la région. Je ne peux que recommander Dominique comme hôte ! I spent about four weeks with Dominique. I mainly helped him with planting, weeding, repairing the fence, making soil and cooking. Time was organised very freely and I learnt a lot from Dominique. Although it rained a lot, I was able to explore a lot of the area and Dominique also showed me and recommended things in the area. I can't recommend Dominique enough as a host!

John and Asli are a very sweet couple, kind considerate and loving! they are ready to share everything with you! from delicious meals, organic food to life wisdom and amazing stories and experiences! John told me once that you can always reinvent yourself, and he is a literal example of that he learned and tried many things and he is still learning and experimenting everyday! he is always happy to answer all your questions. the best thing about this workaway is the fact that you're not gonna be left alone doing some boring task, most of the times John's with you teaching you about permaculture or discussing different interesting subjects. I did many workaways before and after this one, and it's still one of my favourite and here I learned the most especially about permaculture! not to forget to mention the comfortable stay at a very nice private yart.

Jaqueline and Stefan stayed in my Home and llooked after my cat Luna in December 2023 and January 2024 and Luna loves them both. Jaqueline and Stefan are very lovely people, reliable, very tidy and very communicative. Both are great people! Jaqueline and Stefan are always very welcome guests in my home and Luna will also be very happy when they hopefully come to me again.

Beatrice and her son Maxi stayed during my Holiday in my Home and llooked after my cat Luna in May 2024 and Luna loves them both. Beatrice and Maxi are very lovely people, reliable, very tidy and very communicative. Both are great people! Beatrice and Maxi are always very welcome guests in my home and Luna will also be very happy when they hopefully come to me again.

How do I start this? Maybe with the hard facts. I stayed with Tim, Marilien and Taurin for almost two weeks and worked mostly in the garden and generally outdoors. They have a big property and garden therefore a lot of weeding which had be done but don’t worry: there is more than enough time to surf with their son Taurin or explore the area by yourself. Regarding the work they will set you up with everything you need. Gloves, knee pads, rain clothing, electrical trimmers and even Bluetooth speakers to keep the motivation up. But motivation is not needed because I would rather lose limb than disappoint this lovely family. I don’t need to describe how beautiful the main house, garden or your accommodation is because you can see it in your pictures by yourself. But what makes this place and my stay there so special and wonderful are they. There was not one second in the two weeks in which I felt uncomfortable, unwanted or unappreciated. They are so open, welcoming and kind that I felt like I was a part of the family immediately. So if you are considering staying with them I can just hope you make the right decision and do it because you won’t regret it. What a pity to have Alex at home only for a few days ! this guy is really sweet and polite, very curious and careful with a great desire to know and learn new things and new cultures . We've been through a lot of fun with him and with the other guests . In the future we will be happy to host it again . i recommend him . Que lastima tener Alex en casa solo pocos días! es un chico realmente encantador, educado, muy curioso y atento con un gran deseo de conocer culturas y cosas nuevas. Junto a el y a los otros huespedes hemos pasado unos dias muy divertidos. En un futuro nos encantaría hospedarlo nuevamente. lo recomiendo FUERTEMENTE.

After having been away from Workaway for several years, Barbara was my first Workawayer - and what an absolute gem she is! My place was not on her itinerary originally, but I contacted her out of interest and she got curious. And we arranged for a spontaneous visit which turned into a wonderful long weekend. Barbara is curious and interested in just about everything, she is motivated and self-driven when it comes to work - a perfect match for the task I had hoped someone could do, which was re-organizing my pantry. She is a very structured and efficient worker, and I now have a great pantry, the best I've ever had. I was very impressed by her excellent suggestions and ideas and would have loved to have her here longer. I'm (not so secretly) hoping she'll return in the not too distant future :) Our coffee breaks and meal times included great conversations about all kinds of things - this is something I occasionally miss in our remote location. So that was perfect as well. For me, as an older woman, the fact that she is not a "spring chicken" anymore, is definitely a great advantage: More structure, more dedication, more interesting conversations about more topics because of more of a lived life experience - I love that! I wish her all the best for the rest of her dream travel here in Canada (and elsewhere) and hope that some great hosts find her profile, invite her and will be as impressed as I am, and apparently her previous host was, too.

This was my first workaway experience and I felt right at home on the ranch. I stayed for a month, but wish I could have stayed longer. Gail is a very welcoming and knowledgeable person. She opens up her home to workers and is very accommodating with food and living. The farm is located in a very gorgeous area and the mountains were breathtaking. Desiree is lovely at teaching you what your jobs will be such as feeding the horses, filling troughs, cleaning, and much more. I never felt overworked and really enjoyed my time on the ranch. I was able to ride almost every day in the arena and through the many trails and fields around the farm. If you have experience with riding horses and have an interest in working on a ranch this is the perfect workaway for you. I was able to meet and work with a few other workawayers during my stay and it made my time even more enjoyable. Mickey and Mona if you are reading this, I miss you guys and the ranch very much :). The work can be hard at times, but Gail is truly living the dream. Her horses, cows, pigs, and goats provided me with an amazing learning experience and a time I will never forget. I highly recommend this workaway and can't thank Gail enough for allowing people like me to experience the Yukon!

I was in his house for 17 days in total, I liked staying there. The house is old but very cozy and tidy. From the window in my room, I could see cows, lovely!! I did painting, picking up branches, counting cattle, cleaning the house etc. All of these are so precious memories. Sometimes I didn't understand George's instructions but when I asked him to explain again he taught very well for me, thanks. 😊 Outside the works he suggested that I go to a museum, take a walk, and visit Sligo. I really appreciate because he was busy in his works but still cared me so that I could enjoy. Also we had a cup of tea together almost every day and chatted which I enjoyed. All in all, could spend a great time in his house. Thank you so much George!

It was our pleasure to host Jess and Ben. They were very personable and good company. What they lacked in skills (only because they are so young) they made up for in determination, hard work and attention to details. They were able to prioritize their workload and fair about work hours. We would highly recommend Jess and Ben to any host and wish them success and happiness in the future.

It was my 2nd workaway and it was the best place to work and live i could ever imagine. If you are hesitating, don’t! The work with cats doesn’t feel like work, and its super fulfilling. The casita is more than enough. The localization 20 min by bike from the beach and from Conil is like a dreaaam, and I don’t have words how kind and genuine person Jackie is. I really enjoyed my stay there and I miss sooo much the feeling of freedom in Jackie's lovely garden just sitting and chilling with the cats. Thank youuu Jackie for the trust and that I could be the part of this beautiful mission. Hope that you and all the cats are doing fine!:)

Kjell & Margot were the most welcoming of hosts. We spent a month with them, primarily opening up their summer house. Their communication was perfect; clear and direct. They gave us a list of the tasks they wanted us to undertake and let us organise our time ourselves. It was the perfect balance of being independent and enabled to use our initiative at the same time as them being clear about what they wanted. It felt like we could use our creativity and imagination whilst working on projects. So glad we could get FiFi working again! They showed us around Stockholm and Rindö to help orientate us. Both were happy to answer my endless questions about Sweden, its history and culture. New to Sweden, I learnt lots from them. We enjoyed some lovely meals together around the table and a bonkers card game I will never forget! They are fun and great company. More than that, Margot and Kjell are just the kindest and most supportive of people who take their role as Workaway hosts seriously. I would jump at the chance to return there. Thank you both.

Tian and Hannah came to stay with us for about 2 weeks. During this time they helped lots in the garden and with some renovations we are doing. The jobs were very varied including a lot of fruit picking, weeding and clearing brambles and nettles, moving logs, planting seeds and potatoes, helping install some new raised beds, strimming and then with the building work they helped with clearing up and painting. They were fine working by themselves some days and other times we all worked together. We got lots done whilst they were here, they were really open to any tasks we had going and always got on with them as best they could. They were great company in the house and we all enjoyed hanging out with them and getting to know them. They also helped out in the kitchen sometimes and were happy to cook a whole meal, or help with the veg prep. It was great that they have their own car so they were really independent and were able to go out and do lots of visiting the area in their free time even if we were at work or busy. We'd recommend them to any future hosts :)

Kaya was really helpful during her stay with us. She helped me a lot in the garden ; weeding, picking strawberries, planting seeds etc. She always offered to help cook dinner, was great helping with the vegetable prep and keeping everything tidy as we went along and was very tidy in general - whether she was cooking or gardening, or just with. her own belongings in the house. She was always willing to help me with the Airbnb changeover and was very open to helping out with whatever needed doing - inside or outside. She was motivated to learn English, French, cooking, gardening, anything that was going on really. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to future hosts.

It's been a pleasure staying with Martin. His communication was very clear, before aswell as during my time with him. He picked me up in Härnösand and radiated a relaxed and easy-going vibe right away. I stayed with him at his summer house on Hemsön for a week. General cleanliness made me feel comfortable. The location is so great, not far away from a sandy beach with amazing water to swim and lots of nature. It was super quiet which I also liked a lot. He explained what tasks where to do in and around the house and we discussed what could be done. Martin is very good at providing appropriate tasks it seem, so he used my handy skills to get some construction work done. One of it was building a deck together with another workawayer, Davide from Italy. He made sure we had everything we needed and also that work and freetime were balanced. Preparing meals was on whoever felt it most without much discussion. He took us in a nice road trip including a stunning hike and an evening exploration around the island - we saw military bases and a moose. He even let me drive his fancy car! This shows he's also a very trusting person which allows one to unfold ones potential. After a good week of work, which was very satisfying, we headed to his place in Stockholm which is also very nice. Whenever we felt like interacting we did and it was also fine to just mind ones own business. It felt like being flatmates a lot. What I also appreciated a lot that we could argue without any resentment if we didn't agree (which didn't happen often). He's got lots of experience with people which made me feel seen. And not to mention his huge repertoire of different stories to tell from his life. I left this morning and I feel like I've made a new friend =) So tusen tack Martin for being such an amazing host and person to be around. I wish you all the best for your new chapter in life. J'ai passé une semaine chez Benoit en compagnie de son fils et de son père ainsi que d'une autre volontaire. La semaine m'a permis de me déconnecter de mon quotidien et de me connecter à la terre. Première expérience dans le jardinage et la permaculture qui m'a permis d'en apprendre davantage et d'y prendre gout. J'ai aussi eu la chance d'être la première à expérimenter ce que Benoit propose pour la saison 2024 : commencer la journée par une méditation de 30 min et ensuite du yoga pendant 45 min en moyenne, avant d'aller aux jardins. Les journées de jardinage se sont déroulées en moyenne de 9h à midi et 14h - 16h. Enfin, Benoit a su nous régaler aux moments des repas avec les produits de son jardin, des produits sains et toujours très variés. En bref, un séjour top que je considère comme une retraite et que je recommande à tous ceux-celles qui recherche une deconnexion. Merci Benoit!

It was very nice to have Loic here on the finca and stay with him. He is very friendly, respectfull, helpfull hard working and a very kind man.

Amazing place to volunteer! This was our first workaway and it has set the bar very high. The work varies from day to day and never gets too repetitive - a good mix of manual labour and more relaxed harvesting, planting, etc. The hosts are very friendly and all the staff are lovely to work with. The location is off the beaten track so it feels like a very unique experience. The surrounding area is absolutely stunning with so much to explore. Would definitely come back.

It was a pleasure to have Adam here. He was a good help with all kind of eaven hard work on the finca. Also he helped with all the things in the house like cooking. He is respectfull, friendly, helpfull. I really can recomend him.
